It began gaining in popularity in the 1970's, breaking the US Top 100 baby names for the first time in 1974 (at #187). It has had a solid history here in the States, yet people have been losing interest lately, as we see the name drop in the rankings. 2015 with the first time in over 40 years that Lauren did not rank in the top 100 (#119)!
